The generous support of Dr. Robertson has allowed Conexus to move our exciting Eyes of the Future concept from paper to production. We began this process in October of 2014 and have been working with the unwavering support and marketing expertise of Comcast Spotlight, together with the amazing creative minds of Dreams Factory. Comcast Spotlight and Dreams Factory have committed countless hours and their own very generous contributions to transform this amazing idea into reality. It’s been truly rewarding to see everyone’s hard work, commitment, and passion towards children’s vision come together to create a truly stunning visual of the importance of vision in helping children reach their fullest potential. We are excited to share the final product in the weeks and months to come!
Dr. Bo Pegram, Conexus Board Chair, and Roxane Gilmore, Vice Chair, accompanied President and CEO Tim Gresham on a visit to Dr. Pat Robertson to share the exciting plans for Conexus programming and the impact on Virginia’s children. After learning more about our important work and organizational needs, Dr. Robertson made a very generous gift to support a $57,250 matching component to the Cabell Foundation’s $114,500 1:1 match, along with an additional $42,750 to support the production of a 30-sec. commercial, Eyes of the Future, which will demonstrate the significant value of good vision as it pertains to helping our children reach their fullest potential. Dr. Robertson’s very generous support will have a lasting impact on the work of Conexus as we work to expand our reach!
